FARMING OPERATIONS

FruitOne is a South African pioneer in citrus production since 1960, which has quickly developed into one of the major single growers of the country. It efficiently manages more than 2.000 hectares of citrus, divided into 10 farms in the Limpopo province, both, own farms and in partnerships with “FruitOne community farms”.

It is one of the largest Tango mandarin growers from South Africa and the Southern hemisphere. It has recently designed and built two new packing stations, equipped with the latest technology. A third packing station has been redesigned as a chemical-free facility, in order to deliver fruit with lower MRL: suitable for the most demanding customers.

WHAT WE DO:

Headquartered in the Netherlands, we specialize in the commercialization and distribution of fresh produce from both the Southern and Northern hemispheres, supplying the European Union and other continents.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

A commercial talent, proactive, hands on and focussed on results, to reinforce our growing business The ideal candidate will be motivated, results-driven, and eager to develop within a dynamic environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

International purchase & sales of different fresh produce products in Europe
Find and create new strategical customers according to the organisation’s goals.
Business development support (according to company goals and own possibilities).

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of MBO+/HBO (or similar study) level.
At least 5 years of proven experience in a relevant role within the European fruit and vegetable market is required.
Proficiency level in at least two of the following languages: Spanish, English or Dutch, another European language is a pre.
Flexible working mentality.
Knowledge of international trade (import/export).
A European passport or a valid work permit is a mandatory requirement for this position.

SKILLS:

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
A true team player with a critical, flexible, and curious nature
Capable to coordinate quickly and efficiently.
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
